Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the mental health of individuals worldwide, including students in higher education. This study aimed to assess the psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on 50 students from University College of Farasan, Saudi Arabia. A quantitative survey approach and descriptive design were used, and students were selected through purposive sampling. The results showed that students had adequate knowledge about COVID-19, but they had mild anxiety and depression and moderate stress levels. The findings suggest that students need to improve their coping mechanisms and receive more support to enhance their mental health. The study highlights the importance of introducing psychological interventions and measures for students' mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic
