Abstract

This study aimed to explore the knowledge and perceptions of secondary school students in Benin regarding their teachers' integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the classroom. A self-designed questionnaire was administered to 132 student-teachers from the Teacher Training School of Natitingou. The results indicated that the participants had a good understanding of ICT, its tools, and its benefits in the classroom. However, many teachers lacked the necessary knowledge, training, and equipment to incorporate these technologies in their teaching. The findings provide important insights into the state of ICT integration in the classroom in Benin and highlight the need for appropriate professional development programs for teachers. The study serves as a baseline for designing effective programs to improve ICT integration in teaching and learning in secondary schools.
