Marine pigment bacteria have the ability to synthesize a wide range of bioactive chemicals with a variety of industrial and medical applications, they have attracted a lot of attention recently. These bacteria can produce pigments with a variety of biological properties. Researchers have discovered that the pigments made by marine bacteria contain antibacterial, anti-cancer, antiviral, and antioxidant properties that make them desirable for application in a variety of industries. The study aimed to analyze the global profile of literature on pigment marine bacteria.

This review is based on published data on the fruits of the chaste tree (Vitex agnus-castus L.), a traditional medicinal plant used to treat premenstrual syndrome (PMS). The review summarizes and analyzes the existing literature on the chemical composition and pharmacological properties of the fruit extract and its individual chemical compounds. According to the current data, the presence of 20 flavonoids, 10 iridoids, 11 phenolic acids, three diterpene alkaloids, and 12 terpenes was confirmed in the extract of Vitex fruits. Trichilia dregeana is an underutilized plant species native to tropical Africa and known for its nutritional and medicinal properties. The present review compiles existing information on botany, traditional uses, and chemical and pharmacological properties of T. dregeana. Multiple searches on existing literature on the traditional, medicinal, phytochemistry, and pharmacological properties of T. dregeana were conducted in online databases such as Scopus®, Google Scholar, SpringerLink®, SciELO, ScienceDirect®, PubMed® and Web of Science, as well as using pre-electronic literature sources obtained from the university library.
