The paper investigated the role of sole proprietorships in addressing Ghana's unemployment challenges by analyzing their job creation Capacity. The research aimed to quantify employment contributions, Identify sectoral patterns, and assess operational constraints. Methodology combined an analysis of Ghana Statistical Service data with a literature review. Results showed sole proprietorships constituted 374 78% of businesses and created 48.2% of jobs, dominating services (80% of establishments) and industry (18.2% of employment).
