OPTIMIZING SUPPLY CHAIN DYNAMICS: SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT AS A KEY FACTOR FOR ENHANCED PERFORMANCE IN KENYA'S FOOD AND BEVERAGE INDUSTRY
Wambui, Wangari Njeri, Akello, Opondo Otieno
Effective supplier relationship management (SRM) has been identified as a critical factor for improving the performance of firms in the supply chain. Poor relationship management can lead to high acquisition costs, long lead times, lower quality materials, poor reputation, low sales, low market share, and low profitability. This study investigates the influence of SRM on the performance of food and beverage manufacturing firms in Kenya. Specifically, the study examines the impact of supplier segmentation, supplier collaboration, information flow, and supplier development on organizational performance. A cross-sectional survey design was used, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The target population consisted...
DELVING INTO THE DARK SIDE OF BRAND COMMUNITIES: ENVY, STATUS HIERARCHIES, AND THE MODERATING ROLE OF DESERVINGNESS AND SELF-BRAND CONNECTION
Sanchez, Maria Dolores, Martinez
Envy is a universal emotion that can be triggered by upward social comparisons and the possession of prestige products. In this research, we investigate the impact of status hierarchies within brand communities on the occurrence of Malicious and Benign Envy. We conducted two experiments to examine the antecedents and consequences of envy, as well as their effect on members of brand communities. We specifically focused on the role of deservingness and self-brand connection (SBC). In Experiment 1, we found that deservingness affects feelings of both Malicious and Benign Envy. Participants showed Benign Envy toward a higher status target who is...
REIMAGINING ARCHITECTURE ASSET MANAGEMENT: TOOL-SUPPORTED MODELS AS CATALYSTS FOR INNOVATION AND COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE
Chen, Hui Wang
As digitalization continues to evolve, information system architecture has progressed from single applications to integrated systems and, more recently, to micro services. This evolution has introduced numerous challenges for subsequent digital construction and management. On one hand, diverse system architectures, development technologies, and integration routes coexist, demanding significant human resources to handle complex functions and interfaces. This complexity results in technology accumulation, maintenance difficulties, and delayed responses to business needs. On the other hand, the absence of architecture asset data and tool support necessitates technology roadmap development and duplicate construction inspection to rely heavily on expert experience, resulting in a...
