Abstract

Fasil Ghebbi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Ethiopia, faces both opportunities and challenges in managing visitor flows to ensure sustainable tourism development. This paper examines the practices and challenges associated with implementing visitor management strategies in Fasil Ghebbi. By analyzing existing literature and empirical data, it sheds light on the complexities of managing tourism in heritage sites and proposes solutions to enhance sustainability. Through a comprehensive exploration of visitor management practices and associated challenges, this paper provides valuable insights for policymakers, stakeholders, and practitioners seeking to promote sustainable tourism in Fasil Ghebbi and similar destinations.
