Low back pain (LBP) stands as a pervasive and debilitating issue, contributing significantly to disability and workforce absenteeism. This study addresses the prevalence and impact of LBP, a prevalent condition affecting a substantial portion of the adult population. Reports suggest that between 70 to 85% of individuals experience at least one episode of low back pain during their lifetime, highlighting the magnitude of its societal implications (Anderson, 1999; Rublin, 2007). Understanding the multifaceted nature of LBP is essential for effective prevention and management strategies. This research aims to delve into the factors contributing to the high prevalence of LBP, emphasizing the need for comprehensive approaches to address this pervasive health concern. By examining the prevalence rates and associated consequences, the study seeks to offer valuable insights into the intricate dynamics of LBP within the general population. The burden of LBP extends beyond individual suffering, influencing hospitalization rates and exerting a substantial impact on workforce productivity. Recognizing LBP's pervasive nature, this investigation explores the interplay of various factors contributing to its prevalence, shedding light on the socio-economic implications and the need for targeted interventions. In addition to establishing the prevalence, the study will explore the risk factors and potential preventive measures to mitigate the impact of LBP. By identifying modifiable factors and introducing effective preventive strategies, this research aspires to contribute to the development of comprehensive health policies aimed at reducing the incidence and burden of LBP.
