Abstract

The Legrand pollution correlation chart is a valuable tool for assessing contaminant migration within groundwater, particularly in regions like Ebhoakhuala in Ekpoma and Agbede, Edo State, Nigeria. This paper explores the application of the Legrand pollution correlation chart in evaluating the movement of contaminants in groundwater in these specific locations. By integrating hydrogeological and geological parameters, the chart provides insights into the vulnerability of groundwater to pollution and aids in the formulation of effective management strategies. Through case studies and empirical analysis, this paper demonstrates the utility of the Legrand pollution correlation chart in assessing and mitigating groundwater contamination risks in diverse environmental contexts.
